Biography
Fruzsina leads UN-Habitat’s urban resilience programme in Africa. She has two decades of experience with the UN and INGOs. Her background is multi-disciplinary, with a focus on climate resilience, disaster risk management, sustainable development, public governance, and post-conflict development planning. Having designed and implemented large-scale development cooperation projects involving a range of partners and donors, she has strong professional experience in all aspects of programme management. Fruzsina joined UN-Habitat in 2018, where her thematic portfolio on urban climate resilience covers 16+ countries and she is overseeing the full UN-Habitat Country Programmes in the African SIDS, Malawi, and Namibia. Prior to joining UN-Habitat, she spent five years in the Middle East with the UN Regional Commission (ESCWA) and a decade in New York working at the global-level with UNDP and various INGOs. She holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in Diplomacy and International Relations.
