Biography
Mr. Patrick Gaparayi is currently the Regional Advisor and Team Lead, Supply Chain Management for UNFPA West and Central Africa Regional Office based in Dakar, Senegal since March 2023, where he coordinates regional and country's teams in driving UNFPA's and governments' efforts in strengthening national public health supply chain systems in 23 countries. Prior to that, Mr. Gaparayi worked at UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen, Denmark (2019-2023) as the supply chain manager and team lead, people and country engagement unit, where he served as the Representative of UNICEF in People that Deliver (PtD) Coalition and as the co-chair of the Child Health Task Force Newborn and Child Health Commodities subgroup. He was also part of the global team in charge of country readiness for Covid-19 vaccine introduction. Prior to his UN career, Mr Gaparayi managed at Country Director level USAID funded projects in Angola and Cameroon and worked as a senior technical advisor in Rwanda and Burundi.
