Biography
Orlando Sosa is the Agriculture Crops Officer for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Sub-regional Office for East Africa based in Addis Ababa. He is a Belize national with an MSc in Plant Protection and Entomology from Newcastle University, UK and 28+ years of progressive plant protection and health regulatory experience. He has diverse experience in program and project design and institutional capacity building in Agriculture Development; he has been at the forefront of international trade in plants and plant products, having developed global tools and programs for capacity development and implementation of the International Plant Protection Convention's (IPPC) international standards.
