Biography
Yergalem is SFE’s Food Security Officer with more than 25 years’ experience in providing professional support to countries in Eastern Africa on various capacity development areas including agriculture and natural resource management, food security and nutrition analysis, food security policy and strategy development, as well as capacity development support on creation of multi-sectoral food security and nutrition institutional framework at national and sub-national levels. Yergalem holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (majoring plant sciences) from Alemaya University of Agriculture (Ethiopia) and a Master’s degree in Agriculture (majoring food security) from the University of Kwazulu Natal in South Africa.
