Biography
Hellen Nyabera is currently the Head of Information Management under Knowledge and Innovations Branch of UN-Habitat. She holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Science from University College London (UCL). Hellen’s work experience includes her current post with UN-Habitat which she has held for seventeen years, and prior assignments as Data Management Officer with The Independent Inquiry Committee into the United Nations “oil-for-food” programme (IIC) in New York, Chief Court Records, Archives and Library, at Special Court for Sierra Leone and Assistant Archivist with the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal (ICTR)for Rwanda in Tanzania.
In her capacity as the founding Chair United Nations/World Bank/University Librarians group Hellen has been instrumental in steering the group from only four Universities to the current over forty-five memberships with commendable results.
