Biography
Edlam Yemeru is Chief of Urbanization & Development Section at the Gender, Poverty & Social Policy Division. Her areas of expertise include social affairs and urban development, with emphasis on human development, microfinancing and counter narcotics analytical. Prior to joining ECA, she worked as a Lecturer for the Addis Ababa University, where she taught sociology; and worked for the UN-Habitat and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Ms. Yemeru holds a Ph.D. from the University of London, United Kingdom.
