Biography
Komi Tsowou is an economist, trade & industrialization specialist, at the African Trade Policy Center of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. He previously served as an economist in charge of international trade, commodities and development at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, Switzerland. Before joining the United Nations, Komi worked as analyst, financial services and investments in Canada and as an economic consultant in Togo.
In his various roles at the United Nations, Komi advises both public and private actors across Africa and beyond on various issues ranging from trade, industrialization and value chains development including within the context of the African Continental Free Trade Area. Komi has several publications in his areas of expertise. He graduated in Quantitative Economics and possesses an MBA in Finance from University Laval, Canada.
