Biography
Mr. Koumoué is currently the Chief of Protocol at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, based in Ethiopia since July 2017. He joined the UN in 2004 and was stationed in Haiti with MINUSTAH where he was Logistics assistant before becoming Protocol Unit Supervisor for the SRSG and the Mission. After the terrible earthquake Mr. Koumoué Joined MONUSCO and was based in Goma as a Special Assistant and Protocol for the Head of Office
Mr. Koumoué separated from the UN and went back to serve as advisor to the Minister of defence in Cote d’Ivoire, in charge of International Relation. Due to his experience in conflicts resolution, Mr. Koumoué serves Special Assistant to the President Special Advisor in charge of the National DDR program. He returned to the United Nations in 2014 in New York as a Protocol Officer.
Prior joining the United Nations, Mr. Koumoué organized, planned and coordinated various international conferences. As a Head of State Coordinator for the Corporate Council of Africa I was responsible for arranging contract negotiations, meetings and all protocol aspects between American businesses and African Presidents during international conferences organized by this non-profit organization; part of my job also entailed troubleshooting and resolving different problems related to coordination, event organization, and logistics.
His accomplishments also include conceiving and executing a state level conference on trade and investment in Africa while attending Norwich University in Vermont. This was historic event brought together among others the Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire, the Governor of Vermont, Members of the State Department, congressmen, the Corporate Council on Africa and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce. During this event, He was responsible for developing and drafting the proposal for the event from start to finish and for contacting and securing the participation of The Prime Minister of Côte d'Ivoire and other honorable invitees.
Mr. Kouame Jean-Marc Koumoué graduated from Norwich University, The Military College of Vermont as Cadets with bachelor’s in business management then a master in Diplomacy with Minor in conflict Resolution.
Mr. Koumoué is Married with children
