Biography
Khaled Hussein is Chief of the Sub-Regional Initiatives Section, ECA office for North Africa. His areas of expertise include economics, managerial economics, statistics and transportation. Prior to joining ECA, he worked as a Lecturer for several universities, including the University of Kent and the University of East London, both in the United Kingdom. Current publications discuss topics such as urbanization and industrialization for Africa?s transformation, the impact of the international financial and economic crisis on ESCWA member countries, and the role of FDI and bilateral Arab investment in increasing employment. Mr. Hussein holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Keele University, United Kingdom.
