Biography
Kingsley Gwei is currently working with the ECA as an Information Systems Officer. His role with the Safety and Security Services (SSS) Section and Information and Communications Technology Services (ICTS) Section gives him the unique responsibility of employing information and communications technologies in improving the security and safety of the United Nations compound and community. Performing his duties in this capacity has allowed him manage several security and safety related projects for the ECA. Projects totaling several millions of dollars that have brought several new technologies to improve the operations of the SSS staff. He is a certified project manager in Prince 2 and uses his skills, knowledge and experience to bring technology to the fore front of improving and solving challenges faced by the staff of the section. He brought to the United Nations in Ethiopia a wealth of experience from a background in Information Technology and Physical Security. In his previous roles, he successfully managed engineering projects in various disciplines including information technology, security and safety, amongst others.
