Biography
Almoustapha A. Cisse is the Acting Director for the Division of Technology, Innovation, Publication & Knowledge Management at the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). Almoustapha has several years of experience in leading teams in Information Management and Communications Technology with in-depth experience in all facets of Leadership and Technology: engineering, application, operations, security, management and innovation. Prior to ECA, he Led IT programmes for the United States government. Prior to ECA, he was the coordinator for the collaboration platforms for the UN Peacekeeping missions. Prior to that, Almoustapha has worked for several organizations in the US private sector. Thus, he has led several large-scale consulting projects with the US government and international organizations such as the IMF.
He holds a Master degree in Information Management - Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland – College Park in the US. He has a graduate Certificate in Information Technology/Security from the University of Maryland University College Park in the US. And a Bachelor in Computer Information Systems from Strayer University in the US. Almoustapha also holds several industry certifications in the following areas: Enterprise Architecture, IT Governance & Security, etc… Finally, he has the following awards/affiliations: US National Scholars Honor Society, Magna Cum Laude.
